Official Statement on Wright

Rotherham United have issued an official statement on why they have not signed Barnsley striker, Tommy Wright.

It says:

'Rotherham United have been unable to agree personal terms with striker Tommy Wright and his agent.

We are disappointed but are not prepared to jeopardise the clubs financial future for the sake of meeting an agents demands.

Meanwhile the search continues to strengthen the squad.'

Wright has today joined Darlington on a months loan and will go straight into their squad to face Bury.
