Who is Gary Hall?

Gary Hall has been watching Rotherham United for thirty years and has become the latest to join the Board of Directors.

He told the Advertiser that he is anxious that the Board keep up a strong link with the supporters and he has already initiated a Fans Forum, where he wants ten fans to form a committee and regularly meet the directors. He says the response has been encouraging.

At the moment he has the job of overlooking the commercial department, club shop and Rotherham United Suite. 'It`s all about boosting income away from the football,` he said. 'We have already organised a Lunch with Ron Atkinson, on 9th February in the Suite and have a big firm of solicitors to sponsor it. There are some big businesses moving into Rotherham and we need to get out and talk to these people and try and get them involved with the Millers.`

He also says he has been looking at matchday prices and is working to try and bring more young supporters through the turnstiles.

Mr Hall has already made up front investments in Rotherham United and will continue to do so monthly.

Anyone wanting tickets for the Ron Atkinson Lunch can do so by contacting the commercial department on 01709 512760 - the tickets are £60 each and is from 12.30 pm onwards.

The fans forum is a good idea - providing the promises of regular meetings are kept
