RUFC - Price Won't Let Season End In A Whimper

Rotherham United Goalkeeper Lewis Price says that he wants to play well for Warney.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Rotherham Advertiser the thirty-two year old former Welsh International said, 'Personally I won't let the season die a death.

'Every time I step out on the pitch I want to play well for the Manager and the nine to ten thousand people who turn up to watch us.

'With the position we're in a lot of people could decide not to spend their hard-earned money to come and watch us but they still do. We owe it to them and the Manager not to let the season end in a whimper.'

Signing a two-year deal with the Millers in the summer Lewis got his chance in the first team when Lee Camp succumbed to a hand injury in November keeping his place until mid-January when Richard O'Donnell came as cover.

'I had a personal issue at home,' Lewis said, 'and then I tore a muscle in my ribs. After that I an advanced form of tonsillitis and spent ten days in hospital. I rested for a week then when Richard was injured in the warm-up at Brentford I ended up playing.'

Lewis has held his hands up over Solly March's goal that gave Brighton their second goal on Tuesday night when I think everyone in the ground thought he'd got it until we saw it tumble into the net.

I know Warney says 'no' but do you think we need a defensive coach?
