RUFC - Hammy 'We Go Into Every Game Wanting To Win'

Rotherham United's First Team Coach Matty Hamshaw says that if the Millers get relegated this weekend then he would expect the players to be disappointed.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, Matty said, 'Nobody likes to get relegated and I know that we will all be frustrated and disappointed.

'But we've got to make sure that any season coming up isn't like this one ever again in this clubs history. There's been too much upset, too much unrest and you don't want to see this ever again.

'We go into every game wanting to win and that still has to be the case from now until the end of the season.

'You're playing for yourselves, you're playing for fans and you shouldn't go out thinking 'oh well we could get relegated let's try a little bit harder'. Warney and myself wont have that and we won't select any player who thinks he needs to try harder come the end of the season.

'Yes, we have to be a little bit better, switched on, not make rash decisions which we've been punished for in this league. We have to learn by mistakes and we're telling the players that there's times we need to put the ball out of play, times we need to pass it. We've got to learn from things that have happened previously.'
