RUFC - Potter Signs In

Rotherham United have brought in midfielder Darren Potter after he left MK Dons at the end of last season.

The thirty-two year old had youth experience with Everton, Blackburn and Liverpool before signing on at Anfield in 2003. 2004/5 saw him make a number of appearances for the Reds, though mostly in Cup competitions before joining Southampton in January 2006 on loan.

The following season saw him out on loan with Wolves and made the move permanent in January 2007 for what was reported to be around £250,000. Two years later he went out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday signing for them in the summer of 2009. He went onto play over one hundred games for the Owls before leaving in June 2011 by mutual consent and the same day signed a one year deal with MK Dons.

After six seasons and more than two hundred and fifty appearances Darren decided to leave the Dons at the end of last season.

Darren, who has signed a two year deal with Rotherham, has caps for the Republic of Ireland.

All at Vital Rotherham welcome Darren to the New York Stadium.
