RUFC - Camp Joins Cardiff

Rotherham United Goalkeeper Lee Camp has made the switch to Cardiff City after the club decided to 'let him go' at the end of last season.

The thirty-two year old joined the Millers in September 2015 from Bournemouth and went on to make sixty appearances for Rotherham, his first away at Charlton two weeks after joining.

Lee's last game for the Millers was against Leeds in November where he had to be replaced on thirty-five minutes by Lewis Price due to injury.

The shot-stopped has joined former Rotherham Manager, Neil Warnock, at Cardiff on a two year deal.

All at Vital Rotherham wish Lee 'all the best' for his future.

What I'm musing over Chris that he's a 'keeper not good enough for the Millers in League One yet Championship Cardiff have signed him . . . .

Herring have you actually seen him play? I'm only asking because lee camp last year saved 2 penaltys in a single game (yes one went in on rebound but that's defence) it wasn't because he wasn't good enough that we let him go it was because we couldn't afford his wages in league 1, not to mention he wouldn't want to stay after our defence last year.

Seen him play every game for Rotherham, home and away, Chris. Which is why I was asking why isn't he good enough for us but good enough for Cardiff? It probably is down to wages but more likely down to the fact that we brought in two more senior 'keepers. When we brought in O'Donnell due to Camps injury I just presumed it was a deal until the end of the season - I presumed wrong!
