RUFC - Ball Looking For First Team Action

RUFC - Ball Looking For First Team Action

Rotherham United defender Dominic Ball is ready to put last season behind him.

Saying he is eager to learn from last years mistakes, the twenty-one year old told Joe Cawthorn of the Rotherham Advertiser that last season was not good for him.

Dominic signed a three year deal at the New York Stadium in August last year but with just thirteen appearances under his belt he found himself sent out on loan to Peterborough in January. But after just six games he had a disagreement with the Management at London Road and found himself sent back to Rotherham at the beginning of March, although he couldn't play for the Millers first team due to contractual matters.

'I want to have a much better year,' the former England U20 player said.

'I've come back to pre-season in good shape and the aim now is to cement myself in the team.

'I think the new training ground has made a difference but the spirit is much different with everyone's attitude making it a different environment. And that's down to Warney. Every issue from last year has been addressed from the first day and all the boys are buying into it. And, as long as you've got everyone doing that then we should be fine next season.'
