RUFC - Warney 'Kieffer Embraced What We Asked Him To Do'

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that Kieffer Moore has done well to score as many goals as he has since joining the Millers.

The twenty-five year old loanee from Ipswich has become a fans favourite amongst the Millers faithful having scored six goals in eight appearances, although, at this early stage in the season, some or fearing that Mick McCarthy will be sending for him back!

Speaking to iFOLLOW the Millers Boss said, 'It's a bit of a forwards thing that they like a little flick round the corner or just want to take one touch but he's really embraced what we've asked him to do and take more touches.

'He's obviously growing in confidence and he's grown into the role getting better under the tutorage of all the coaches. He's enjoying his time here and having a good crack at it.

'At the moment we are playing where we allow Tayls (Jon Taylor) and Ryan Williams to come off the line and support him.

'He's a lovely kid and he's done really well.'

After scoring two of the three goals on Saturday in the win over Bury, Kieffer himself told the Official Site that he thanks the Manager for having the confidence in him to pick him every game.

'I think all I needed was that belief in me,'Kieffer said. 'He (Warney) works with me near enough every day. We`re always speaking and working together, it`s going really well.

'The service I`m getting is brilliant. For both of the goals they were great balls in. If I`m getting myself in the right positions, I know the ball will come in so it`s down to me to put them away.

'It`s amazing to score here in front of these fans. The fans are fantastic.'
