Knill - ' We Had to Stop the Loses'

Rotherham United manager, Alan Knill, has told the Star why he kept to the 4-3-3 system on Saturday away at Brighton.

'It makes us more solid in the middle of the park,' he said,'sometimes we have been counter attacked and I wanted more bodies in the middle and to protect the centre halves.

'I know it wasn't pretty at Brighton but our priority is to stop the losses; stop the goals going in.

'We stopped a losing run and didn't concede and in our position these are the things to build on. Let's hope we can now turn it round. We are going to need a big effort from everyone.

'We are a good footballing side but we have been losing. We had to do something about that.'

The nil all draw at Brighton was the first away clean sheet since Blackpool back in August and only the fourth all season, the last being the home game against Brentford in October.
