Rotherham United are expecting to be without defender Ben Purrington for up to four weeks.

The twenty-one year old went down in the first fifteen minutes of Tuesday's game and although he did try to carry on he had to leave the pitch after just twenty minutes being replaced by Joe Mattock.

'He's having a scan today,' Millers Manager Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield. 'We suspect it's a grade two hamstring which means he could be out for two, three or four weeks. It will definitely be two weeks.

'Ben came off on Tuesday and I think it took Joe quite a few minutes to get into the pace of the game and I think Blackburn exploited that.

'I need to get my back four solid, but it's not just their responsibility, we have to defend throughout the team.'

Asked how he felt about striker and top scorer Kieffer Moore playing a third game in a week given the fact that he isn't one hundred per cent fit and Warney said, ' I've got no issue with him playing at all. Today (Thursday) is the first time he's trained for two weeks. So that's good for us. I'm not saying he's one hundred per cent improved but he is improving.'
