Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told the Official Site that the season, so far, has gone as he expected it would.

The Millers go into the last game of 2017 on thirty-six points and eighth place in League One.

'We've had to get rid of a few psychological demons from last season. I think, in the majority of the games, the lads have performed more and, looking back, we could have even had more points.

'I'm really pleased with the group we've assembled, they are good human beings and great to work with.

'If we keep up our recent form then come the end of the season we could be in a good place.'

But what do we think is a good place?

Obviously coming down last season most people would expect us to be going straight back up.

Would that be the best thing for Rotherham United and, I don't think Warney will mind me saying, a rookie Manager?

At the start of the season I said that above half-way in the table would do for me - not that I'm a naturally negative person (I don't think anyway) but because I think it's good for players to play in the likes of League One for a couple of years so they can appreciate the difference in The Championship.

If we keep going as we have been though we could very well make the play-offs at the end of the season which I'm sure Chairman Tony Stewart is aiming for.

What do you think?
