RUFC - Smith 'We Deserved The Win'

Rotherham United striker Michael Smith told iFOLLOW that he thoroughly enjoyed this evenings win over Oxford.

Michael scored his third goal in a Rotherham shirt this evening, after joining during the January transfer window.

Speaking after the three-one win the twenty-six year old said, 'It's a good feeling and I think we thoroughly deserved the win tonight.

'It was massive for us to get the third goal after Oxford had pulled it back to two-one.'

Speaking about his goal this evening, the tall striker said, 'Fordey (Anthony Forde) has done all the work and all the credit goes to him. He's had an unbelievable game tonight. Collectively, as the Gaffer says, we've got the best four wingers in the this league and anyone of them can play out wide.

'The key now is not to get too complacent and to take each game as it comes. And we're all looking forward to Saturday now.'

South Yorkshire Bragging Rights Go To The Millers

Rotherham United's fighting spirit did them well this afternoon after they came from one down in the first half to win the South Yorkshire derby with Doncaster Rovers two-one - but boy, did they leave it late!

Joe Mattock was back in the starting line-up for the Millers with Michael Ihiekwe, who had replaced him last week, nowhere to be seen. Rovers also made one change with Ben Whiteman replacing the injured Luke McCullough.
