So today is the day of the South Yorkshire derby between Rotherham United and Doncaster Rovers at the New York Stadium.

It's obvious that the Millers are doing better than Rovers, we're ten places above them in the League, our goal difference is better, we've won more games, scored more goals - but this is a derby and the form book goes out of the window.

This week there's been a bit of banter on Social Media and on the local radio, some, which I think (and this is my opinion) has been a bit OTT.

Unknowingly even the Managers have joined in with Paul Warne more or less saying 'what rivalry?' and Darren Ferguson saying he's bringing his tin hat.

I'm actually with Warney on this one - of course being a local derby it's going to be more intense because of the bragging rights but I don't remember in the past when we've played Donny before it causing so much talk.

We sold out of tickets when we went to the Keepmoat earlier in the season. It was a poor game after Rovers had gone in front (from an og) and then started to waste time (and not really making a secret of it) the referee added a lot of time on at the end of the game. Six minutes into that added on time Kieffer Moore slotted home his thirteenth goal of the season to give the Millers a late point.

Both clubs have sold out of tickets for this afternoon's game so I'm hoping for a fantastic atmosphere.

I've heard Millers fans say we're going to 'win easily', 'win by three clear goals' etc - all I'm saying is I sincerely hope those fans' words won't be coming back to bite them in their posteriors.

I'll be honest I hate derby games. I hate losing to anyone but especially our neighbours, whoever they are. I might be the only one who thinks like this but I seem to be very tense going to watch the Millers against our nearest clubs.

Anyone else feel like this?
