'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Crisis Talks at Millmoor?

Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman, and manager, Alan Knill, met yesterday evening to discuss the way forward for the troubled football club.

Speaking to the media last night, Knill admitted there had been a meeting and he said, 'we agreed, it is a really tough time for the football club. The chairman and I had a frank exchange of views. We all have one goal in mind and that is to keep Rotherham United where we want it to be.'

Knill had nothing but praise for the board, 'They have been excellent,' he said. 'It's a pretty tough job and they, like I, have done all we can to keep us going.

'We will keep talking and keep an understanding with one another about where the club is going, where we want it to go and how we are going to get it there. Things are tough and we know that.

'We are grateful that the supporters still believe, we know that by the way they kept cheering last night. We want to turn it round for them. They have had a pretty tough time in the last three or four years and we hope we can give them something to cheer about.'
