Robins on taking Charge

Mark Robins has been given temporary charge of Rotherham United and was at a Press Conference earlier today with Chairman, Denis Coleman. Here is what he had to say about the happenings today at Millmoor.

'I was very sad about Alan`s (Knill) departure, it is always difficult when a man loses his job. He worked tirelessly to turn things around at Millmoor.

'I have never hidden the fact that one day I would like to be in management. This opportunity has come sooner than expected.

'I like a team to play football, that`s how I see the game being played and how I was taught to play it. You have to do what is best for the players you have, that`s the tricky bit, planning and preparing around the players in the team.

'The Chairman has asked me to look after the team on Saturday and that is as far as I`m looking.

'I have phoned Alan but haven`t spoken to him, though I have left him a message.`

Good Luck, Mark from all at Vital
