'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Millers Chairman Praises Fans

Chairman, Denis Coleman, has thanked the long suffering supporters of Rotherham United for sticking with the club.

Mr Coleman told The Advertiser,'It's been rough for the supporters lately. The last three years have probably been the worst successive seasons in the clubs history. And through it all the fans have been loyal to both the team and manager and they deserve better.

'A winning side makes a difference to the whole town and everyone connected to the club. When we lose, all the staff are down the next day from me to the ticket office, general office, everyone. Most of us are die-hard Millers.

'But, this time last season we were fighting for survival of the club and although things are bad now, it's just about trying to keep us up in this division.

'I've had a go about our gates in the past but the criticism is for the stay away fans not the people who come to the games, they have been super.

'My message is stick with us and we will get it right.'
