'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Millers Chairman on New Boss

Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman told Radio Sheffield that he thought the result today was 'fantastic.'

'We can't ask for more,' he carried on. 'The lads fought and battled and got the result we wanted. They all worked hard together today.'

Speaking about caretaker boss Mark Robins he said, 'I will be happy for Mark to be there next week. We are taking one game at a time. Mark has just had two days to get the team together for today - he will have a full week to get organised for next Saturday. We will back Mark all the way. He already does a good job down here with the Youth Team and we have always worked closely with Mark. He is 100% Rotherham United.'

Speaking about bringing in a new manager, 'It's been incredible how many people are after the vacancy - I don't know where they've all come from - there must be over 40 applicants and some big names there too. We are looking for a manager who can win games - as simple as that. We need someone with passion and who believes in the club. We need someone soon who can build for next season. If we wait until the season ends players will have moved on so we hope to make an appointment before the end of the season.'

I hope they don't just plump for the first big name to apply.

There might be plenty apply but when money is discussed it might be a different matter.
