Robins - Why I Dropped Sharps

Rotherham United's caretaker manager, Mark Robins, has told The Advertiser, that he dropped captain, Ian Sharps for last weekends game because he thought the side needed shaking up.

'Ian wasn't happy about it,' said Robins after handing the captains armband to Craig Fleming, 'I didn't expect him to be. I thought we needed something different; we needed that spark on the pitch.

'I expect all the players to fight for their places. At a football club you need your players to be saying 'I'm here and I'm ready to play'.
