Interviewing for the vacant managers job at Millmoor will start next week, reports The Rotherham Advertiser.
Former boss Alan Knill was sacked more than a fortnight ago now, and a 6-man shortlist will be drawn up in the build-up to finding his successor.
Millers Chairman Denis Coleman is to set about assessing candidates, but wont be rushed into finding a replacement.
Mr Coleman said,We are currently drawing up a shortlist and will be looking at six or so applicants.'
'But we wont be rushed into this, it's an important decision and it's pointless appointing anyone right now'.
'We've already briefly spoken to a couple of people and we have more to discuss, but by the middle of next week we should be in a position to start proper interviews.'
