Henderson - I Need To Start Scoring

On loan striker, Ian Henderson, has told The Advertiser that he thinks it's about time he started to turn his words into action.

Twenty year old Henderson has played eight games so far for the Millers in his loan spell from Norwich City but has yet to find the back of the net.

'I'm frustrated,' said Henderson, 'the only thing I seem to be able to do at the moment is set others up. I set Delroy Facey up for his goal last Saturday which I'm happy about, but I want to be scoring. I can't keep saying it - I need to start producing the goods. I need to get a purple patch together and start getting goals.

'I'm a trier - that's been bred into me by my family. And anyone who watches me can see I play with a smile on my face. As a young lad at Norwich I was told never to be afraid to have the ball at your feet and run with it.

'I'm out of contract with Norwich in the summer and nothing has been decided there at the moment. Like every other footballer, my ambition is to play at the highest level and I'm sure the experience I am having with Rotherham will stand me in good stead for the future.

'But at the moment I just want to start scoring and help Rotherham get out of the difficult situation they are in.'

The woodwork stopped Henderson from scoring his first goal for the Millers on Saturday and he has missed a few other good chances over the last few weeks.

His loan spell runs out at the end of the season so time is running out for him to make his impression at Millmoor. It could start this Saturday at Brentford - let's hope it does.
