March 20th in Millers history

March 20th in Millers history

A very impressive return of results for the Millers on March 20th, with 9 wins and 3 draws from 14 games.

One of the 2 defeats however was last time out at Gillingham in 2004.
2 early goals from Ashby (15 minutes) and Sidibe (19) earned the points for the Gills.

A quick look back and you will see one of the most famous results in Millers history.
25 years ago today was the 4-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which gave Rotherham a 10-1 'aggregate' for the season following the 6-0 win at Millmoor the previous October.
Goalscorers at Chelsea were Ronnie Moore 2, Billy McEwan and Tony Towner in front of 11,900 fans.
That night Rotherham were placd 4th in Division 2 , while Chelsea were in 13th.

Another result what will stand out, was the 1-0 victory over rivals Sheffield Wednesday in 1976 at Millmoor.
Dick Habbin scoring the only goal in front of 13,500 fans at a joyous Millmoor.
