Robins - I Think I'm Ready

Robins - I Think I'm Ready

The Board at Rotherham United are this week searching for a new manager, after the sacking of Alan Knill at the beginning of the month.

Youth Coach, Mark Robins, stepped up to take temporary charge of the first team and has today told The Star that he is ready to do the job full time.

'I have made no secret of the fact that one day I want to be a manager,' Robins said, 'but if it's too soon for me here now then it is too soon - but I don't think it is. I'm not going to put any pressure on the Board, it's for them to decide - I'm happy to leave it up to them to make up their own minds in their own time.

'There are a number of people interested in the job and I will just get on with it and see where it takes us.'

Robins won't have done himself any harm over the three games he has been in charge - winning two and losing one - especially the win at the weekend where he stamped his own personality on the team by including some of the youngsters who played well and did him proud.
