'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Millers chairman on vacancy

Rotherham United Chairman Denis Coleman told the Rotherham Advertiser that interviews for the new Managers job would not be due to start till next week.

Speaking in todays paper he said, 'Ive heard all sorts of names bandied about, but the reality is that we have no specific person in mind'
'There is no favourite, this is the most important managerial appointment in our history and we are not going to be rushed into it. It is highly unlikely that an announcement will be made before the end of next week.
Were looking at every angle so we can make a desicion we think is right'.

Coleman also gave his backing for Caretaker boss Mark Robins,
'In the meantime, we are happy with the job Mark Robins is doing as our Caretaker.
We have had interest from players coming to the end of their careers and looking to take their first step into management, but if were going to do that then Mark Robins is the man for the job'.
'The last 2 Managers of this club were first-timers and it went wrong, what we want this time is someone with experience to come in either as a number one or a number two'.
