Yates on Millers debut

Jamie Yates is hungry for more after excelling on his Rotherham United debut at Brentford last weekend.

The 18 year old, Sheffield born youngster told the Advertiser, 'The older and more experienced boys helped us through it a great deal'.
'They have been brilliant to the younger players -especially at Brentford- and there has been a lot of heavy criticism given to them.
But as a player you see a different side to it all and they helped myself and Liam King along, we really Appreciate that'.

Speaking after starring in a great Millers win at Griffin Park, Yates continued
'It was a great experience, what ive wanted since i was a young kid.
I was surprised to get the call, Mark Robins told me on the Thursday that i might be playing and when it was confirmed i was really pleased'.
'There were a few butterflies before the game but i was glad to get out on the field-and it was a great result for us.
I was nervous and it was hard to concentrate, but once i crossed that white line i was ok, it was a great experience'.
