Robins - we lacked cutting edge

Rotherham United caretaker manager, Mark Robins, spoke to Radio Sheffield straight after the one nil defeat at Crewe today.

'I thought we had enough possession to win,'he said,'they (Crewe) didn't cause us any problems. We coped quite well. It was another goal from a set piece - but I didn't think our reaction in either box was ideal today. Julien Baudet was outstanding for them. We were fighting for everything but we just lacked that cutting edge. Crewe were hanging on at the end. If we had took one or two of our chances we could have got back into the game and I think we could have gone on to win it..'

Of latest loanee, Che Wilson, he said,'he did well and coped well and he defended when he had to. But he is obviously short of match practice.'

He was asked about the vacant managers job, 'Until I am told any different I will do the job to the the best of my ability. I am enjoying doing it.'

The name Julien Baudet jumps out there!! How come when players leave the Millers they play better? Richie Barker is a typical example.
