March 26th, in Millers history

March 26th is another ay which hasn't been too kind for the Millers over the years, with just 4 wins and 2 draws coming in 14 games.

Last time out on this day was in 1996.
Rotherham losing 2-0 at Brunton Park, Carlisle.
This game came exactly a fortnight after our historic win there in the Auto Windscreen Shield Northern final which saw us reach Wembley.
The Cumbrians goalscorers were Gary Bennett and Steve Hayward.

Our last win on March 26th came 2 years previous in 1994.
A Shaun Goater double gave us maximum points in a 2-1 win at Blackpool.
Neil Mitchell grabbed Blackpool's consolation.

The highest victories were 3-0 on 2 occasions.
In 1951 and a win over Carlisle at Millmoor, goals coming from Jack Shaw (2) and Jack Grainger.
