'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robins - Post Blackpool

Rotherham United's caretaker manager, Mark Robins, told MillersWorld that he thought his team defended stoutly all game tonight.

The Millers beat Blackpool one-nil at Millmoor and Robins said,'I thought the first half was scrappy but they didn't cause us many problems. They looked like they had practiced set pieces and we found we had to defend well against them.

'We spoke at half time about being more confident and putting passes into the right areas and the second half was much better. We looked like the belief had come back which was the most pleasing thing about the match tonight, apart from the three points.

'They had a spell when they threw everything at us but we held firm.'

Towards the end of the game there seemed to be a blatent foul on scorer Chris O'Grady but the referee, Mr Foster, waved away the appeal.

'You've seen them given for challenges like that,' Robins said

'We could have had one or two more goals,'Robins said, 'and I think we deserved the win.'
