March 28th in Millers history

A favourable return for The Millers on March 28th over the years.
6 wins and 4 draws coming from 14 games, and just 1 defeat in the last seven outings.
This came 37 years ago at Haig Avenue, Southport.
Trevor Swift scoring a first half opener for The Millers, but goals from Eric Redrobe and Roy McCarthy gave The Sandgrounders both points.

Last time out was in 1998 and a goalless draw in Division 3 between 9th placed Rotherham and 5th placed Scarborough.

12 years ago today Millmoor witnessed a classic game between Rotherham and Brighton.
Unfortunately for the visitors, goals from John Byrne, Paul Byrne (on loan from Celtic) and Stuart Myall wasn't enough to earn points as The Millers replied 4 times through, Ian Breckin, Nathan Peel, (on loan from Burnley) Andy Roscoe and Shaun Goater.

Meanwhile 15 years ago today goals from Des Hazel and Shaun Goater gave Rotherham their 5th win on the bounce over Walsall.

Finally, 20 years ago today The Millers gained a creditable point at Ayresome Park against high flying Middlsborough, who were in the third division for only the second season in the clubs history.
