'If It's Football, It's Vital'

3rd April in Millers history

April 3rd is another day where The Millers have a slight advantage over the years, with 7 wins,4 draws and 6 defeats from the 17 games played.

Last time out on April 3rd was in 2004 and a very uneventful goalless draw at Crewe.

Previous to that was the only victory by the Millers in the last 6 games on this date.
This happened in 1999 at Feethams, the former home of Darlington.
Leo Fortune-West gave Rotherham the lead on 6 minutes, but was pegged back after 73 by Darlington's Marco Gabbiadini.
However, just 5 minutes later Andy Roscoe scored what proved to be the winning goal and The Millers moved up to 6th place in Division 3.

A year earlier and it was Rotherham on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline as Colchester United beat us on a Friday night at Layer Road.
Aaron Skelton put The U'S into a 11th minute lead, but Gary Martindale replied immediately with the equaliser on 12.
The score remained at 1-1 until the 55th minute when Mark Sale scored Colchester's winner.
In the Colchester defence that day was a 19 year-old loanee from Leicester called Guy Branston.
