'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Transfers Didn't Relegate Millers

Rotherham United's manager, Mark Robins, has denied that selling Lee Williamson and Will Hoskins to Watford in January was the reason the Millers were relegated last weekend.

'The losing steak started before the loss of Williamson and Hoskins,' Robins told TeamTalk, 'so it would be difficult to comment if this was a main factor for the slide.

'As I was working with the Youth Team at the time, I only saw the home games so it is difficult for me to comment. Starting on minus ten it was always going to be an uphill struggle.

'If we could have got the confidence back a little sooner, who know, we might have stayed up. As it is we have three games left of the season with no pressure on us. We have to close out the season and make sure we come back stronger next year.'

We "sorted" the 10 points scenario out by October.........The rot set in well before Will and Willo went to Watford. The reason for our relegation was the diabolical mid-season form.
