'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sharps on Millers return.

Rotherham United Centre back Ian Sharps has been talking of his last month back in the Millers first team.

The Warrington born defender returned to the fold in last months Millmoor victory over Brentford after being dropped from the team and stripped of his captaincy.
He told the Rotherham Advertiser,
'Since i came back into the side on a regular basis i've been really happy with my form.
Before i got dropped i was reasonably happy, but we were leaking too many goals.'

Sharps, signed from Tranmere last summer has played 40 games for Rotherham in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and he continued,The gaffer said he had to make changes and he did.
But since i've come back in i think ive held my place on merit.
What's been the difference? It's been down to hard work. Im not being big-headed, but i've always put the work in.
No one wants to play badly, i've always gone out to play my best every game since i've been here and that's all i can ask of myself.'

Speaking about the new manager he concluded, 'Mark Robins has his own ideas.
He does some things diferent to Knilly and some things the same.
We are not a route 1 team but we do try to play in the right areas of the pitch.
To be fair to Knilly, he always tried to emphasise that as well.
Maybe a new voice makes the point better.'
