Millers Monty Goes

Rotherham United's latest player to be released is goalkeeper Gary Montgomery.

The twenty-four year old 'keeper was originally brought to Millmoor in 2003 as cover for Mike Pollit. When Pollit left, it was expected that Montgomery would take over as the Number One - but Neil Cutler was signed by, the then manager Mick Harford, and became first choice.

Mark Robins has decided not to offer Montgomery a new contract after having just five first team starts this season says The Star.

We were spoiled by his first few games into thinking he was a world beater, but still good luck to the lad.
