'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robins Close to First Signing

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, gave a sigh of relief when the season finished on Saturday. 'Now, I can get down to some hard work,' he said.

Already today he has released goalkeeper, Gary Montgomery, and, has told The Star, that he is in talks with a young player he is hoping to sign.

'There's a few loose ends that need tying up,' he said, 'but I am hopeful it will all be sorted soon. He also said the player in question was desperate to come to Millmoor. 'And,' he carried on, 'with a bit of luck we'll get another one in soon.

'We have to work hard to get people in and I will be looking at some old heads too, some who have been there and done it. We have to encourage them to come.'

moving early on players , always a good thing in my opinion, could get a gem or two before other people realise ;-)

A hell of a lot of hard work needed during the summer from Robbo and all his staff to get ready for this new challenge.
