Message For Millers

Message For Millers

Rotherham United's Commercial Director, Gary Hall, has put a message on the Official Site about season tickets and match day tickets.

He says:

Much has been said recently about the ticket prices for next season and the fact that the club is in jeopardy because of the current ongoing court case and we understand that the fans are worried about buying season tickets because of this.

We want to put people's mind's at rest:

The court case does not put the clubs future at risk. If the club should lose the case this will not jeopardise the club as we have been paying our rents to the court and will continue to do so.

The prices for the season tickets was not just plucked out of the air - we have had a budget to work to and we have priced the tickets accordingly. We understand that our prices are at the higher end of League two but our player budgets and our expectations are there too.

As for the extra £2 we add on for pay on the day customers - this is for the club to gauge how many supporters are coming to the game and therefore we can provide the right catering and programmes for the game. It is common in other industries, such as the music business and travel, to charge extra when booking on the day.

In conclusion, we know times are tough both financially and on football terms but we feel this season we will change our fortunes. We feel that Mark and John are the right people to lead us back up the league tables and we need to look towards the future and bring the good times back to Millmoor. We can only do this with your support. As season ticket holders ourselves for many years we know that you want your money's worth in the coming season and with your full support we will guarantee that you will receive this from YOUR club.
