'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Keane Thanks Millers Fans

Rotherham United's released midfielder, Michael Keane wants to thank the Millers faithful fans for the two years of support he has received while with the club.

The twenty four year old told The Advertiser, 'The people of Rotherham have been very good to me and I want to thank them. The fans gave me a great reception when I came on as sub for the last home match against Cheltenham. It was amazing seeing as I hadn't played for four or five months. At the end of the game I threw my jersey into the crowd, I felt that was the least I could do.

'I appreciate the fact that they spend their hard- earned money to come to games.'

Keane, who said in the local newspaper a few weeks ago that he wanted to stay at Millmoor said, 'I knew when we were relegated that I'd be earning too much money for the club next year. There are no hard feelings. That's football.

'I've had three offers already, including one from Ireland, but I'm going to take my time making a decision.

'Wherever I go, I wish Rotherham the best of luck. You never know, one day I might return as a player or even as manager.'
