1 What is your name and which club do you support and how long have you supported them?
Hi everyone. My name`s mdjw_41 and I support Hull City. I have done so all my life as my Dad brought me up as a Hull supporter. Been going regularly for more than ten years.
2 Did your team do as well as you expected this season?
Definitely not. We were expected to be a safe mid-table team but we ended up escaping relegation on the penultimate game of the season. It may have been exciting but I`m sure it is one we would rather forget. Hopefully next season will be better!
3 What was the most disappointing thing for you this season?
The inconsistency of the team. Although we had good wins over the likes of Birmingham, Preston and Cardiff, we had humiliating defeats at Colchester, Barnsley, Leeds and Ipswich. Every time we won to get ourselves out of trouble, we would then lose 2 or 3 games to put us straight back into danger.
4 What was the best part of the season for you?
The day we secured safety at Cardiff City - and sent our rivals Leeds United down to League 1?
5 Which player for your team this season could you not have done without?
Ultimately it was Dean Windass. None of our strikers were prolific but in the second half of the season, Deano netted eight times. That included the winner that meant we secured Championship survival. His contribution only just beats that of defender Michael Turner and fellow strike partner Nicky Forster.
6 Which player would you gladly get rid off?
There were quite a few really. Most of the people from Vital Hull would probably say our midfielder and captain Ian Ashbee. He is a leader on the pitch but his tactical ability is sorely missing.
7 What was the best game you saw this season?
I enjoyed our 2-1 win away at Sheffield Wednesday the most, although it may not have been the most impressive performance. The two games against Cardiff were also brilliant, as was our 2-1 away win at Luton Town.
8 Where do you expect to see your club finish next season? Do you expect them to win anything?
We MUST be a mid-table side otherwise there will be a significant backlash from the fans. Once we sort out our manager, things should start to get moving. We aren`t going to win anything - far from it. If we are 14th or above I think I will be happy - it will show we are finally making a move forwards.
9 If you could have any one player to join your team who would it be?
I take it you mean from the Championship. I`d like someone such as Jason Koumas. A skilful attacking midfielder with an eye for goal. We need players who can pick up the ball and run at the defence - please let us find some this summer!
10 What`s your favourite tipple?
I`ll have a nice cold pint of Corrs please!
