RUFC - still within budget

Rotherham United are still within their budget according to manager, Mark Robins, even though he told The Star that 'we pushed the boat out' with the signing of Graham Coughlan.

'We worked hard at getting him in,' Robins carried on, 'but our hard work has paid off and we are frankly delighted.

'The experienced defender we kept talking about - well this is him.

'We knew we faced opposition from other clubs but the missing piece of the jigsaw is now in place.'

It is thought that Coughlan, a thirty-two year old central defender, was on his way to Carlisle when he changed his mind and signed for The Millers on Thursday evening.

The Star say there is likely to be one more signing - a goalkeeper, as the only senior 'keeper at the club at the moment isAndy Warrington.

I was getting a bit worried about us having to put the jigsaw back in the box at one bit!
