'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Steve Cann

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has told The Advertiser that he is hoping goalkeeper,Steve Cann, will be his next signing.

Cann, who has been on trial at Millmoor, was released by Derby County at the end of last season. The nineteen year old is a Welsh U19 international and Robins sees him as a natural understudy to Andy Warrington.

'The lad has a lot of potential,' said Robins.

seen him a couple of times and he looks decent enough and he`s at the right age where he can be coached

I know I've only seen Warrington the once, but tbh, he didn't fill me with confidence like I thought he was going to do. But, it is early days

In total agreement, Cann has barely put a foot (or glove) wrong in his games so far. Warrington will certainly have a fight on his hands to keep the no 1 spot.
