RUFC - Recent Poll Result

Which of our home friendlies is the most important to do well in?

The results were:

All of them (44%)

None - they're only friendlies (33%)

Sheffield United (18%)

Hartlepool (5%)

Barnsley (0%)

It is our first home pre season game today against local rivals, Barnsley, which, surprisingly got no votes what so ever. I wonder if this is because it is our first home friendly and many people won't have seen our new team play yet?

I know the manager, Mark Robins, has said the results of the friendlies are of second interest to him - he is really using them as a fitness excercise.

On a personal note, I don't like us to lose any game but I particularly don't like us to lose to local opposition!

Mark is right, what a difference a few days makes. They gelled 100% more against Barnsley than they did at Burton.
