'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Steve Cann

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has secured his eleventh signing of the summer - with trialist goalkeeper Steve Cann putting pen to paper today

Cann, who was released by Derby County at the end of last season, told the Official Site, 'I'm really excited about joining Rotherham.'

Steve is already an Under 19 Welsh international and appeared against Germany as a substitute in September 2006.

'Everyone is really great here,' Cann said, 'the players, the manager and John Breckin is a really nice guy. I want to be first choice 'keeper here as soon as I can. Obviously, at the moment, Andy Warrington is first choice, but I am going to train hard and give one hundred per cent.

'I haven't really played with the new team yet and not sure about promotion but I'm sure we'll do well and hopefully we will have a good run in the Cups.'

Mark Robins said, 'I am delighted we have got Steve on board as back up for Andy Warrington. He's a good goalkeeper.'
