RUFC - Robins on Bean

Rotherham United's latest signing, loan player Marcus Bean, joined yesterday from Blackpool and Manager, Mark Robins, spoke to The Advertiser about him yesterday.

'Marcus didn't play much last season and he needs to get games under his belt,' Robins said of the midfielder brought in to cover for Mark Hudson.

'He isn't the same kind of player as Mark (Hudson) but he's got loads of energy and we are going to need him.

'It will be another eight weeks or so before Mark Hudson is fit to play again and Marcus is here to cover.'

Bean only started two games last season, after being brought to Bloomfield Road in the January transfer market in 2006 and he has also had spells with QPR and Swansea City.
