RUFC - Message from The Chairman

Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman, has sent a message, via The Advertiser, to all Millers fans

He says it is the most he has looked forward to a season starting for many years

'I am pleased with the work Mark Robins, John Breckin and the backroom staff - infact the whole club staff - have put in during the summer.

'The close season is actually the busiest time of the year at the club for most of the staff.

'We are pleased with the response from the fans with the season tickets and we want to say a big 'thank you'.

'We hope we can reward you all with a quick return to League One and then back to The Championship with all the local derbies again.

'Looking forward to this season takes me back to when I first came to Rotherham from Ireland as a young boy and my grandad used to always try and get me the first season ticket - 001. He managed it one year as well! I wish he'd lived long enough to see me Chairman of the club.

'The next big game at Millmoor is against Sheffield Wednesday and it will be great to see Millmoor buzzing again.

'Here's hoping for a successful season. Let's have your full support for the club.'
