'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Holmes thanks Robbo

Rotherham United's manager, Mark Robins, has been thanked by one of his summer signings for making him a better player.

Six foot 2 inches striker, Derek Holmes, told The Advertiser, 'He's a good manager and he's really helped me. In the short time I've been here he has definitely made me a better player.

'I had no qualms dropping down to this division, I've been here before so I know what it's about. I feel the team are more than capable of holding their own here but we need a good start because that will help with the confidence.

'The spirit here is fantastic and we already have a great bond. There are eleven new players and we have all just fitted in.'
