RUFC - Robins post Game

Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, told Radio Sheffield that the dressing room was upbeat today after getting a point away at Hereford.

'I think it was a fair result,' Robins said, 'we had a couple of chances, they had a couple of chances. It was a slow game, the grass was a bit long and it was a hot day and I think the players acquitted themselves well. The game was pedestrian at times but that was down to the weather.

'I am a bit disappointed we didn't get the end product - it was a bit frustrating. We got in some decent positions at times but there was no one there to stick it in the net.

'We started a bit nervous which can sometimes mean we make it difficult for ourselves but I am pleased with the way the players have gelled and the way we played.

'We were happy with the defence but we know there is still work to do - we have to learn to put the ball into the back of the net and we will do. I was pleased with Newsham when he came on. There's still things to improve but it was an encouraging start.

'All in all we came out of the game with all the players unscathed, got an away point and didn't concede.

'We now have to prepare for the next game, which is the cup game against Wednesday.'
