RUFC - Ref Watch v Owls

The man appointed to Referee the Carling Cup tie between Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday on Thursday 16th August is....

Mr Jonathan Moss from West Yorkshire.

Mr Moss joined the list of Football League Assistant Referees at the start of season 2003-2004.

After 2 seasons he was promoted to the National list of Referees in 2005-6.

His record so far is...

2005-2006 30 games 104 yellows (3.46 per game) 8 reds

2006-2007 37 games 100 yellows (2.70 per game) 9 reds

His first game this season was the 1-1 draw between Port Vale and Bristol Rovers on Saturday, in which he booked 3 Rovers players and awarded a penalty to Port Vale which Luke Rodgers opened the scoring with.

Mr Moss has officiated at 2 previous Millers games.

First in our 2-1 defeat at Oldham on September 26th 2006.

He booked 5 players including Millers players, Pablo Mills, Ian Sharps and Michael Keane.

This was followed by the 2-1 defeat at Tranmere on New Years Day 2007.

He booked 2 players at Prenton Park, both former Millers, John Mullin and Robbie Stockdale.
