'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Coughlan 'a good challenge'

Rotherham United captain, Graham Coughlan, has told The Star that he expects tonight's game to be a good challenge for the Millers and one that they are looking forward to.

The Millers are at home tonight in the first round of the Carling Cup, against Sheffield Wednesday, the team who he played for last season.

'The tie is a nice draw for both clubs,' Coughlan said, 'financially for us and football-wise for Wednesday.

'It could be a good time for us to be playing them - they've gone several games without a victory and they are leaking goals. Saying that, they have players who can change that round.

'But Cup football always produces a few shocks and quite a few Championship sides have gone out this week. Saying that, I don't think they see the Cup as a priority.

'I think both clubs would rather have played earlier in the week with us having Peterborough coming on Sunday and Wednesday playing Wolves, but both sets of players will be looking forward to a decent contest tonight.

'It's a good challenge for us.'
