'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins 'we want to win'

Rotherham United v Sheffield Wednesday

a mouth watering game at anytime of the year, but tonight it is the Millers first home game of the season and it's the first round of the Carling Cup as well.

Millers Manager, Mark Robins, told The Star that somebody said 'I hope the new players in the team know exactly what a win would mean for the fans and the club.'

'There is no danger or misunderstanding about that,' Robins said, 'just look at the connections we have.

'Graham Coughlan played last season for the Owls, Peter Holmes started his career there, Andy Warrington and Paul Hurst are both Sheffield lads.

'Dale Tonge has Rotherham connections amongst his family, Stephen Brogan lives just up the road and loves the club and don't forget there's me and Breck to get the message over.

'But, whoever the opposition tonight, we want to go out there and get a win for this football club, for the fans and to progress to the next round and that would make it another match towards turning this club successfully round.

'We are facing a Championship team and are under no illusions that they will be favourites tonight and that it will be difficult for us.

'But we intend to go out there and give it our best shot.'
