'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Danny Harrison

Rotherham United midfield player, Danny Harrison, has this week told The Advertiser that his move to Millmoor was the right thing for him

'It was a big thing moving to Yorkshire,' Harrison said, 'but, what I have seen so far, I think I made the right decision.'

Harrison, who was out of contract at Tranmere at the end of last season, had been working with John Breckin at Prenton Park and didn't think twice about following him to Rotherham.

'I didn't have the best of season's last year and at the end I sat down with manger Ronnie Moore and we decided it wasn't working out and he told me I wouldn't be automatic first choice.

'I came over to speak to Mark Robins and Brecks and they sold me the club - I knew that Brecks loved Rotherham so had no hesitation in signing.'

Harrison, who scored in last night's defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday in the Carling Cup, says there is a determination about the club to put right what has happened over the last few years.

'We need to stop the decline,' he said, 'last Friday, in training, we had a chat about where we want to be and we all know what we have to do.

'I thought we looked good at Hereford, we kept a clean sheet and got a point on the board and I thought we had the better chances. Not a lot got through us and if we can be a bit more cut throat in front of goal I think we will go a long way this season.'
