Our last poll question was'
Which of the following players has shown most improvement so far this season?
The answers were as follows:
Andy Warrington (40%)
Marc Joseph (40%)
Derek Holmes (20%)
Peter Holmes (0%)
Other (0%)
Dale Tonge (0%)
Graham Coughlan (0%)
Andy Todd (0%)
Andy Warrington and Marc Joseph coming out top and striker, Derek Holmes third, with none of the other players getting a vote.
I take it that this means the other players were playing really well from day one (during the pre season games).
Myself, I went for our goalie, Andy Warrington. When I first saw him against Burton Albion in a friendly, I was very unsure about him as I had been led to believe he was the 'bee's knee's' so to speak and I wasn't at all confident with his approach.
But, he has got better with every game I have seen him in - and I don't have to shut my eyes when the ball goes towards him anymore! (Yes, I had them shut a lot last season!)
Marc Joseph has got stronger and I always liked Derek Holmes, his strength up front is just what we've been lacking in recent years.
