RUFC - Ref Watch v Chester

The Referee chosen to officiate Saturday's game at Millmoor between Rotherham United and Chester City is.....

Mr Graham Salisbury from Penwortham, Preston.

Graham was born on 1st November 1962 and progressed through the Preston district and West Lancashire Leagues before being appointed to the List of Assistant Referees at the start of the 1998-99 season, culminating in an appearence as assistant to Eddie Wolstenholme for the 2001 FA Vase final at Villa Park.

He was promoted to the National list of Referee's at the start of season 2001-02.

His most recent games involving the Mlllers were as follows...

4th November 2006 Carlisle 1 Millers 1....2 yellows including Paul Hurst.

31st December 2005 Millers 1 Doncaster 0.....1 yellow, Martin Butler.....1 red, Paul Heffernan of Doncaster....2nd bookable for diving.

12th November 205 Millers 1 Colchester 2....2 yellows including David Worrell.

2nd April 2005 Stoke 1 Millers 2....8 yellows including Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Martin Butler and Paul McLaren.....1 red, Stoke's Michael Duberry, 2nd bookable on 90 minutes.

28th September 2004 Millers 2 Crewe 3....1 yellow, Darren Garner.

In season 2006-2007 he officiated at 32 games, showing 76 yellows (2.37 per game) and 7 reds.

So far this season he has taken charge of 4 matches, showing 13 yellows and 2 reds.

The sending offs being Hartlepool's Ali Gibb in their Carling Cup game at Sc**thorpe earlier this month, and Brighton's Andy Whing in their League 1 defeat at Tranmere last Saturday.

Mr Salisbury will also take charge of tomorrow night's Carling Cup tie between Newcastle and Barnsley.
